Enjoy the 16th Tepebaşı (Yorgoz) Tulip Festival this Weekend!
The 16th Tepebaşı (Yorgoz) Tulip Festival, organized by Lapta Alsancak Çamlıbel Municipality, Tepebaşı Mukhtar’s Office, and TEPDER, is set to take place in the Tepebaşı village square this weekend.
The main theme of the festival is to showcase the diversity of the Medosh tulip, an endemic species of Cyprus, in the region, with the aim of raising public awareness.
The festival will kick off tomorrow at 10.30 with a march highlighting the beauty of the Medosh tulips. Throughout the day, there will be folk dance performances, as well as sales at handicraft and food stalls. Visitors can also enjoy two bus tours to the land of tulips, with the first day of the festival culminating in a Group Authentic Concert at 3.00 pm.
On Sunday, March 17, the festivities will begin with a nature walk at 7.30 am, followed by another tour to the tulip fields at 12.30 pm. Throughout the day, there will be more folk dance shows, leading up to the grand finale concert by Grup Baria.
