Ercan Airport to Temporarily Close for Terminal Relocation
Ercan Airport in Cyprus will be temporarily closed to all flights from July 20 at 19:15 until July 21 at 07:00. The closure is necessary to facilitate the relocation of the airport’s terminal building. Flights will resume from the new terminal building starting at 07:00 on July 21.
The Ministry of Public Works and Transport released a statement regarding the closure. The statement mentioned that on July 20, 2023, the new terminal building and runway at Ercan Airport will be officially inaugurated. However, flights will continue to operate from the existing terminal building until July 20, 2023, at 19:15.
During the closure period from 19:15 on July 20 to 07:00 on July 21, Ercan Airport will be closed to all flights to facilitate the relocation process. The airport will reopen for arrival and departure flights at the new terminal building from 07:00 on July 21.
Passengers scheduled to travel during the closure period are advised to contact their respective airlines for further information and alternative arrangements.
