TRT Sports announcer Erdoğan Arıkan hospitalized after heart attack
The Ministry of Health has issued a statement regarding the health condition of TRT Sports announcer Erdoğan Arıkan, who suffered a heart attack following his commentary of the Emre Gökdemir İnşaat Ankara Keçiörengücü-Sakaryaspor match in the 20th week of the Trendyol 1st League.
In the statement released by the Ministry of Health, it was mentioned that Erdoğan Arıkan is conscious and currently undergoing treatment at Ankara Gülhane Training and Research Hospital.
Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun also expressed his sadness about the incident on social media, sending well wishes for Arıkan’s recovery. TRT General Manager Mehmet Zahid Sobacı also shared his hopes for Arıkan’s speedy recovery, noting that the veteran announcer is currently receiving treatment in intensive care.
