Erdoğan Takes Action Against Israel, Filing Complaint with Authorities
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan recently visited Algeria, where he took part in the Algeria-Turkey Business Forum. The visit was productive, and as a result, a total of 13 agreements were signed between the two countries. President Erdoğan expressed how these agreements and collaborations will contribute to the prosperity of the region.
Currently, commercial relations between Algeria and Turkey are at a high point, with a 27% increase in trade last year compared to the previous year. The upward trend has continued this year, reaching 5 billion dollars in the first 10 months of 2023. President Erdoğan has set a target of 10 billion dollars for trade between the two countries and is optimistic that this goal will be achieved in the near future.
Acknowledging that Turkish companies are major investors in Algeria, President Erdoğan praised them for their work and mentioned that these companies are providing employment for Algerian citizens in a myriad of areas. He also stated that the Turkish government is working towards overcoming any problems faced by Turkish businesses in Algeria.
The president emphasized the importance of a rapid conclusion of the preferential trade agreement, which would significantly boost cooperation between the two countries. He also expressed the desire to strengthen ties in the field of energy and spoke about the partnership opportunities that Turkish businesspeople can take advantage of in Algeria.
President Erdoğan also touched on the Gaza issue, praising Algeria for its strong stance against the attacks. He condemned the Israeli government for its actions and urged that the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by Israeli leaders should not go unpunished. The President stressed that the responsibility to prevent further atrocities lies not only with the Islamic and conscientious countries but with all nations.
During his visit, President Erdoğan reiterated Turkey’s commitment to helping with the reconstruction of Gaza and urged other countries to provide support. He assured that Turkey will continue to follow the war crimes committed by Israeli rulers and will not allow the issue of nuclear weapons and atomic bombs, whose existence Israel denies, to be forgotten.
In conclusion, President Erdoğan expressed his hope that the new collaborations established during his visit would be beneficial for both Algeria and Turkey. He also called for continued support for the Palestinian cause.
