Teknofest TRNC Showcases Innovation and Unity at the Aviation, Space, and Technology Festival
The Teknofest TRNC, held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, concluded with an impressive awards ceremony attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. During his address, Erdoğan emphasized the festival’s significance as a journey through history, science, and technology, expressing gratitude towards the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Turkish Technology Foundation for hosting the event.

Erdoğan noted that the festival has gained global recognition, with participation from 15,750 teams and 47,865 competitors from 22 countries. He highlighted the achievements of young innovators, particularly in the drone competition, stating, "The nation, two states, one heart, represents a determined step towards a common future."
Commitment to the Region
Reiterating Turkey’s enduring presence in the area, Erdoğan stated, "We, the Turkish Nation and Turkish Cypriots, belong to these lands." He emphasized the commitment to remain in Northern Cyprus, standing by its strategic projects and technologies, aimed at future growth and development.
Vision for the Future
The President further discussed the significance of national technology movements, underscoring the achievements in unmanned aerial vehicles and advanced aircraft. “As a nation, we never gave up dreaming; we have always pursued our goals,” he said. Erdoğan expressed his aspirations for a prosperous Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, driven by homegrown technological advancements.
E-Government Initiatives
During his speech, Erdoğan also introduced upcoming e-Government initiatives, announcing that a mobile application would soon be launched to improve services in industry and employment. This development aims to streamline governmental processes and enhance public service delivery.
Infrastructure Investments
Looking ahead, Erdoğan outlined ambitious plans for infrastructure development, including bringing electricity to Northern Cyprus following the successful underwater water project. He reiterated Turkey’s commitment to peace and stability in the region, pointing out the strategic investments underway.

In a heartfelt moment, Erdoğan paid tribute to Sırrı Süreyya Önder, the Deputy Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, who recently passed away, extending condolences to his family and political community.
