Erdogan Urges Citizens to Vote for Turkish Victory
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has given clear messages and advice for the upcoming 28 May elections in a joint broadcast with Hürriyet Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Ahmet Hakan and Hürriyet Newspaper Ankara Representative Hande Fırat on CNN TÜRK and Kanal D. He stated that his party had already started working and had talked to all the leaders, and would evaluate the next 12 days very well and would not be complacent.
Erdogan also mentioned that he did not plan on holding rallies, but rather, rally-like meetings in the earthquake region, showing support to the victims and their families, and moralizing them by embracing the people there. It was said that they could not build a hospital in Defne, in Hatay, but the state hospital has since been completed, and Erdogan is planning to visit the area on Saturday and Sunday with his organization.
He also gave his biggest advice to all voters to go to the polls, as they did in the first round, and stated that he believes the 28 May election will be very different and serve as a signal. Erdogan is confident that they will get a lot of votes and that they will handle this process in a different way through interviews with the youth. He also reminded the public that the people gave them two weeks to get more hearts.
Furthermore, Erdogan urged the citizens, especially in the Black Sea, to prioritize voting over trips, and to delay their trips accordingly. The title to be thrown is “Everyone to the ballot box for the Great Turkish Victory”. Erdogan believes that they will wake up on May 29 very differently, and while they may not follow the same roadmap as the first round, they will apply the same in the earthquake zone. He plans on being intertwined with fellow citizens’ associations, visiting the city in Istanbul and Ankara, and handling this process differently through interviews with the youth.
