Erhan Arıklı Re-elected as Chairman of Rebirth Party (YDP)
The 4th Ordinary Congress of the Rebirth Party (YDP) has concluded with the completion of the vote counting process. Erhan Arıklı has been re-elected as the Chairman of the party.
The voting took place at the Atatürk Sports Hall, starting at 10:30 and ending around 20:00. The votes were counted by districts by the Presidency of the Council.
According to the information provided by the YDP, the distribution of votes during the Congress, where Erhan Arıklı and Talip Atalay competed for the presidency, is as follows:
Nicosia: total 707 votes, 493 for Erhan Arıklı, 203 for Talip Atalay, 11 invalid
Famagusta: total 719 votes, 401 for Talip Atalay, 311 for Erhan Arıklı, 7 invalid
Kyrenia: total 1024 votes, 691 for Erhan Arıklı, 320 for Talip Atalay, 13 invalid
Güzelyurt: total 298 votes, 152 for Erhan Arıklı, 138 for Talip Atalay, 8 invalid
Lefke: total 62 votes, 49 for Erhan Arıklı, 12 for Talip Atalay, 1 invalid
İskele: total 311 votes, 225 for Erhan Arıklı, 81 for Talip Atalay, 5 invalid
The re-elected YDP Chairman, Erhan Arıklı, who also serves as the Minister of Public Works and Transport, is expected to deliver a speech following his re-election.
