Erhürman Shares Views on 8 Agenda Items – BRTK
An agreement on the Haspolat and Akıncılar crossing points in Cyprus could be reached without a “buffer zone” debate, according to the Republican Turkish Party Chairman Tufan Erhürman.
Erhürman recently discussed eight items related to the Cyprus issue and emphasized the importance of making progress. He suggested that combining suggestions that can be implemented quickly and smoothly, without causing any problems for either side, is the key to moving forward.
Specifically, Erhürman highlighted the proposal for the Haspolat and Akıncılar crossing points, emphasizing the need to approach the issue in line with the logic of previous crossing points. He urged for immediate action to create a positive atmosphere and avoid unnecessary delays.
Additionally, Erhürman mentioned the “Youth Technical Committee” and “Civil Society Advisory Board” proposals, noting that they require minimal preparation and could be accepted as part of the first package for implementation.
