The Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye Takes Action to Resolve Electricity Problem in Nicosia
A 7-person delegation, led by the General Manager, from the Turkish Electricity Generation Corporation (EUAŞ) has arrived on the island to address the electricity issues in Nicosia. The delegation is currently working at the Teknecik Power Plant to find solutions to the ongoing problem.
It has been announced that the diesel power plant unit no. 8 is scheduled to be activated tomorrow as part of the efforts to restore electricity supply. Additionally, the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia has revealed that EUAŞ will be sending another mobile power plant with a production capacity of 25 MW to the TRNC. This additional power plant is aimed at eliminating the electricity deficit that has affected the region during peak periods.
Under the coordination of Ambassador Yasin Ekrem Serim, the Turkish Embassy has made efforts to ensure that the energy consumption needs in Nicosia are met. With the diesel power plant unit number 8 and the upcoming mobile power plant set to be operational in September, it is hoped that the interruptions that have impacted various sectors will be minimized.
This proactive approach by the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye underscores their commitment to resolving the electricity problem in Nicosia and ensuring a reliable power supply for the region.
