Exclusive Footage Reveals İmamoğlu Leaving Hotel with Suitcases

New Evidence Emerges in Investigation Involving İmamoğlu
Recently, new evidence and images have surfaced in the investigation being conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office involving Ekrem İmamoğlu, the president of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM). The suspects in the case are being investigated for various charges including “being a part of a criminal organization”, “membership in a criminal organization”, “bribery”, “fraud”, “unlawful activities”, and “breach of personal data”.
The latest developments in the investigation reveal that on October 12, 2024, at 08:48, a person arrived at a hotel in Istanbul’s Sarıyer district with a suitcase. The individual was seen meeting with Ekrem İmamoğlu along with Tuncay Yilmaz, Ertan Yildiz, Adem Soytekin, Hüseyin Köksal, and Fatih Keleş. Security camera footage from the hotel shows that the meeting room was sealed off at 09:14, preventing any further recordings. İmamoğlu was later seen leaving the hotel at 11:29.
Prior to the crucial meeting, a black vehicle arrived at the hotel entrance at 08:48, and a person carrying a suitcase emerged from the vehicle. This individual, believed to be under İmamoğlu’s protection, was greeted by the president before entering the hotel. The investigation revealed that the cameras were tampered with four days before the meeting, and suitcases were brought in on the day of the meeting. Footage also captured the moments when the suitcases were taken out after the meeting, and when İmamoğlu departed the hotel.
These new details shed light on the ongoing investigation and raise further questions about the events surrounding Ekrem İmamoğlu and his associates. It remains to be seen how this will impact the case moving forward.
