Expert Report Due for Isias Case on April 26 – BRTK

Hasan Esendağlı, President of the Turkish Cypriot Bar Association, recently shared important updates about the Rebellion Case in a recent interview with BRT. Esendağlı emphasized the significance of the expert report being prepared at Gazi University, stating that it could impact the outcome of the case significantly. He also mentioned that the unique process being carried out in a challenging geographical context, with all elements of the state in Adıyaman, has added significant value to the ongoing legal proceedings.
Esendağlı mentioned that there is a possibility of the hearing on April 26 being postponed to a later date. Additionally, he reiterated that there was no element of crime in the Lawyer Akan Kürşat Case, expressing disappointment in the lack of necessary support and contribution from Turkish Cypriot Politics and other relevant authorities. He called for greater initiative and involvement from the government, the Presidency, the opposition, and the authorities of the Republic of Turkey in addressing this issue.
The developments in the Rebellion Case and the ongoing efforts to ensure a fair and just legal process continue to be closely followed by the public and legal community. The expert report’s potential impact and the need for broader support and contribution from the relevant political entities remain key focal points in the case.
