Exploring ADHD: Focus of Pécs Brain Research Week
The Week of Brain Research in Pécs, Hungary, will shine a spotlight on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) from March 11 to March 15 at the University of Pécs. The event will feature a series of workshops and discussions aimed at raising awareness and understanding of ADHD.
The activities will kick off with a workshop on March 11 led by a special needs teacher, providing insights into the daily experiences of individuals living with ADHD. Participants will have the opportunity to explore nerve cells, senses, and brain anatomy through interactive activities on March 12.
On March 13, a roundtable discussion will focus on the potential of AI in diagnosing and managing ADHD, while also examining human responsibility in the process. The following day will feature a jam session aimed at engaging the younger generation in discussions about ADHD and its complexities.
The event will conclude on March 15 with a roundtable discussion titled “The Road to Understanding: Exploring the Diversity, Challenges, and Opportunities of ADHD.” Topics such as neurodiversity, willpower, and the importance of information and support will be discussed.

In Hungary, the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD have evolved over the years, with an increasing number of adults being diagnosed with the condition. The Semmelweis University of Medicine runs a specialized ADHD center, and private medical facilities also provide diagnosis and treatment.
