With 204 carefully curated works on display, the museum showcases a range of artifacts previously stored in warehouses. From architectural pieces of the first Hagia Sophia building to rare manuscripts and religious items, the museum presents a comprehensive collection for visitors to enjoy.

Covering approximately 3,200 square meters, the museum also houses documents related to the Hagia Sophia Mosque Foundation, shedding light on its administration and expenditures. Through immersive visual and audio displays in 23 languages, visitors can delve into the history of Hagia Sophia during both the Byzantine and Ottoman periods.

The museum tour follows a chronological corridor, presenting original pieces ranging from temple bricks to historical paintings. Developed by DEM Museology under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the museum’s visual and audio presentations were created by a team of digital design artists, musicians, and storytellers to enhance the visitor experience.
