Exploring Kazakhstan: TikTok Showcases Nation’s Culture and Top Travel Destinations
ASTANA — TikTok, a popular short-form video hosting service, has teamed up with Kazakh Tourism national company to launch a new phase of an exciting initiative under the hashtag GuideToKazakhstan. This initiative aims to engage users in a creative competition highlighting Kazakhstan’s tourism offerings.
The competition encourages participants to showcase their creativity by sharing videos about Kazakhstan’s tourism attractions. Winners in three categories will receive valuable prizes, including vacations in hotels in Aktau and Turkistan, as well as ski passes to the Shymbulak mountain resort. To participate, individuals must post a video longer than one minute with the hashtags #GuideToKazakhstan and the specific region in Kazakhstan on topics such as interesting places, food, or culture.
Since the launch of the competition on August 22, nearly 5,000 videos have already been submitted under the project hashtag. These videos showcase the diverse and breathtaking landscapes of Kazakhstan, including the largest mosque in Shymkent, a mysterious cave in the Turkistan Region, and the picturesque beauty of Eastern Kazakhstan.
Kairat Sadvakasov, Chairman of Kazakh Tourism, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership with TikTok, recognizing the platform’s role in promoting Kazakhstan’s image internationally. He highlighted TikTok’s ability to reach not only the younger generation but also an adult audience, providing a unique opportunity to showcase Kazakhstan’s tourism potential and cultural heritage on a global scale.
As the competition continues to unfold, participants are encouraged to explore and share the wonders of Kazakhstan, inspiring others to discover the beauty and richness of this Central Asian nation.
