Direct Flights Between Czechia and Mongolia Being Considered
Czechia and Mongolia are considering direct flights between the two countries, as per a bilateral agreement made in 2017 that has yet to materialize. The plan has renewed diplomatic interest, however, the pandemic and other issues have caused delays, with flight frequency and departure dates yet to be announced.
The largest Mongolian community in the EU and the third largest in the world is in Czechia, a fact that is not widely known. This proposed direct flight would provide a valuable connection for the community as well as benefit tourism and business opportunities between the two countries.
Considering the pandemic, direct flights could support the economic recovery of both nations. It is not clear when the flights will be operational, but it is hoped that an agreement can be reached soon. More details will be shared as they emerge.
