Famagusta City Council Convenes In Inaugural Meeting – BRTK
The Famagusta City Council, established in partnership with Famagusta District Governorship and Famagusta Municipality, held its first meeting today at 14.00.
Representatives of institutions, organizations, and non-governmental organizations attended the meeting, as announced by Famagusta Municipality. The meeting aimed to inform participants, with plans to form subcommittees in key areas such as health, economy, and education, and kick off workshops.
During his speech at the meeting, Famagusta Mayor Süleyman Uluçay highlighted the historical and economic significance of Famagusta. He emphasized that the city council’s primary goal is to identify deficiencies and work towards the overall development of the city. Uluçay also praised District Governor Özden Keser for his contribution to the establishment of the city council, stating that it will greatly benefit the city.
Participants shared their opinions and discussed upcoming projects for the city before concluding the meeting. The Famagusta City Council is expected to play a crucial role in driving positive change and progress in Famagusta.
