A Traffic Accident Causes Closure on Nicosia-Famagusta Main Road
A traffic accident on the Nicosia-Famagusta main road has resulted in the closure of the direction of Famagusta to traffic flow, starting from the Dörtyol junction. The closure is a result of a truck overturning on the road.
According to a statement from the Police Press Officer, the truck overturned in the traffic accident, leading to the closure of the road direction towards Famagusta. As a result, transportation to Famagusta has been redirected through the village roads in Türkmenköy, Güvercinlik, Köprülü, and Çayönü, starting from the Dörtyol junction. This diversion will remain in effect until the vehicle is removed from the road.
Drivers using this route are advised to drive slowly and carefully, as well as to obey the traffic signs and instructions provided by the police.
The authorities are working to clear the road and restore normal traffic flow as soon as possible.
