Famagusta Municipality Solves Rainwater Problem with New Drainage Line Project
Famagusta Municipality (GMB) has successfully addressed the issue of excessive rainfall during the winter months in the Gossip Houses area of the Tuzla Region with the implementation of a new drainage line project.
According to a recent statement from GMB, a new rainwater drainage line extending approximately 350 meters was constructed by the GMB Public Works Unit on Mehmet Ömer and Sadık Cemil Streets. This initiative was taken to rectify the problems caused by the existing drainage line losing its functionality.
The Rain Water Drainage Line Project involved excavation work in both streets, laying of pipes, installation of gratings, and the application of asphalt to complete the project. As a result of this project, the municipality ensures that the area will not face any further issues with rainwater during the winter months.
The completion of this project marks a significant achievement for Famagusta Municipality in terms of providing an effective and permanent solution to the drainage problem in the Tuzla Region. Residents and visitors can now rest assured that the area will remain safe and free from any water-related concerns during the winter season.
