Family Tragedy: Gunman Kills Brother and Aunt in Karabük
A horrifying incident took place in Karabük, Turkey, where a 29-year-old man named Norooz Ahmedi shot his brother, Sacrifice Ali Ahmedi (25), and his sister-in-law, Leeqa Azemi (27), on the last floor of the 5-storey Sirin Apartment in the Green Neighborhood Junction Street. The neighbors heard the gunshots and immediately notified the police and medical teams. Tragically, Sacrifice Ali and Leeqa lost their lives at the scene.
After the incident, the suspect fled to Eskipazar district in a commercial taxi. However, public teams quickly initiated a search operation and managed to capture him with the murder weapon. The suspect was taken into custody and transferred to a private hospital for a health check.
During the attack, it was discovered that the victims, Sacrifice Ali and Leeqa, had three children, along with Norooz Ahmedi and their other brothers, totaling five children. The police intervened and took the children into their custody for protection.
Karabük Police Chief Mehmet Ali Hasan Köse, who arrived at the scene of the crime, oversaw the removal of the bodies of the deceased victims to Karabük University Training and Research Hospital Morgue.
