Cyprus TMT Mujahideen Association President Halil Pasha Remembered with Dignity
The recently deceased Halil Pasha, former Cyprus TMT Mujahideen Association President and TRNC Founding Assembly member, was honored in a ceremony to celebrate his contribution and sacrifice. The event took place at the Mujahitler Sitesi, where the TMT Mujahideen Association is located.
The ceremony was attended by Halil Pasha’s family, members of the TMT Mujahideen Association, President Ersin Tatar, parliament members, and other loved ones. Pasha’s body, carried by soldiers, was laid down for his family and comrades to pay their respects. President Ersin Tatar and Cyprus TMT Mujahideen Association President Celal Bayar gave speeches paying tribute to Pasha’s contributions and legacy.
President Tatar described Halil Pasha as an exemplary figure and a leader of the people. He highlighted Pasha’s work in the Turkish Resistance Organization, intelligence service, and his efforts for the existence of the Turkish Cypriot people. Tatar also mentioned Pasha’s role in the creation of the Turkish Cypriot History, Culture, and War of Independence Museum, citing his continuous contribution and persistence in preserving the Turkish state in Cyprus.
President Tatar expressed their commitment to keeping an independent Turkish state alive in Cyprus, stressing that it was Halil Pasha’s will to maintain the TRNC. He recounted his emotional conversations with Halil Pasha, emphasizing his role as a leader and a fighter for the Turkish Cypriot people.
Similarly, Cyprus TMT Mujahideen Association President Celal Bayar praised Halil Pasha’s dedication to the Turkish Cypriot people. He recognized Pasha’s work in intelligence and security, emphasizing his unyielding spirit to improve the national struggle, history, and culture of the community.
Both speakers expressed their condolences to Halil Pasha’s family, recognizing his invaluable contribution to the Turkish Cypriot people and their commitment to preserving his legacy. The ceremony, filled with heartfelt tributes, celebrated the life and legacy of Halil Pasha.
