Farmers to receive 2.6 billion TL in support payments
The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı, recently announced on his social media account that support payments for farmers will be distributed. In his post, he stated that a total of 2 billion 595 million 192 thousand pounds will be transferred to the accounts of farmers to support production in Türkiye.
The support payments include 2 billion 565 million 838 thousand 686 pounds for cereal production and 29 million 354 thousand 273 pounds for rural development investments. Cereal support will specifically be provided for wheat, barley, rye, oats, and triticale products in Ankara, Yozgat, and Sinop.
Minister Yumaklı emphasized the importance of supporting farmers to ensure the abundance of food production in the country. The distribution of these payments will help to boost the agricultural sector and contribute to the overall economy.
This initiative by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry highlights the government’s commitment to supporting farmers and promoting agricultural development in Türkiye.
