Fatal Accident in Aksaray: 2 Dead, 34 Injured in Passenger Bus Overturning
A passenger bus belonging to Metro Turizm, traveling from Kilis to Istanbul, was involved in a tragic accident on the Ankara-Niğde Highway. The bus, under the management of Hannan S., fell into a ditch at the Babakonağı location, resulting in 2 fatalities and 34 injuries.
Emergency response teams, including gendarmerie, health, UMKE, and fire brigade personnel, quickly arrived at the scene to assist the victims. The injured individuals were promptly transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Aksaray Governor Mehmet Ali Kumbuzoğlu visited the site of the accident to assess the situation and gather information from officials. It was determined that the bus overturned into the ditch at 02:55, with initial reports pointing to the driver falling asleep at the wheel as the cause of the accident.
