Fatal Accident in Bursa: Minibus Overturned, 1 Dead and 5 Injured
One Dead, Five Injured in Bursa Service Minibus Accident
In a tragic accident in the Central Osmangazi district of Bursa, a service minibus overturned, resulting in one fatality and five injuries. The driver of the minibus, identified as Muharrem B., lost control of the vehicle before crashing into a barrier and hitting a pole, causing the minibus to overturn.
Emergency services, including the police, fire brigade, and medical teams, were quickly dispatched to the scene following reports from other drivers who witnessed the accident. The driver of the minibus was trapped inside the vehicle, while the injured passengers were extracted and transported to various hospitals in the area.
Tragically, a 2-year-old passenger named Tuğsem Akçay succumbed to her injuries despite medical intervention at the High Specialized Training and Research Hospital. The remaining injured individuals are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Due to the accident, Istanbul Street was temporarily closed to traffic as emergency responders worked to clear the scene. The overturned service minibus was eventually removed, allowing traffic to resume as normal.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident as the community mourns the loss of a young life and prays for the speedy recovery of the injured passengers.
