Fatal Accident in Samsun: Driver Killed, 2 Children Injured
A tragic accident occurred on the Samsun-Ordu highway at the Karaağaç location, involving a minibus, a vehicle with an unknown license plate, and a truck. The minibus, driven by Sedef T., was squeezed by the vehicle and ended up hitting a lighting pole in the median strip before crossing into the opposite lane and colliding with the truck driven by Doğan Y.
Unfortunately, Sedef T. did not survive the impact and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Her children, Yekta and Osman T., who were also in the minibus, sustained injuries as a result of the collision.
Osman T., who was in serious condition, was quickly transported to Çarşamba State Hospital by medical teams. After receiving initial treatment there, he was referred to Ondokuz Mayıs University Health Application and Research Center for further care.
The highway had to be temporarily closed to traffic in order to clear the vehicles involved in the accident. Once the scene was cleared, the road was reopened to allow traffic to resume normally.
Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Sedef T. during this difficult time, and we wish a speedy recovery to Yekta and Osman T. as they receive medical treatment for their injuries.
