Fatal Accident: Service Minibus Overturned in Bursa, 1 Dead 5 Injured
Tragic Accident in Central Osmangazi District: 1 Dead, 5 Injured
In a devastating incident in Central Osmangazi district of Istanbul, a service minibus driver lost control of the steering wheel, leading to a fatal crash. The driver, identified as Muharrem B., hit a pole and overturned the minibus, leaving the vehicle stuck with the driver inside.
Emergency services, including police, fire brigade, and medical teams, rushed to the scene after receiving reports from passing drivers. Firefighters worked tirelessly to rescue the trapped driver and assist the wounded passengers. Ambulances transported the injured individuals to various hospitals for treatment.
Tragically, 2-year-old Tuğsem Akçay, one of the wounded passengers, succumbed to her injuries despite efforts at the High Specialized Training and Research Hospital. The treatment of the remaining injured individuals is ongoing.
Following the accident, Istanbul Street was temporarily closed to traffic to facilitate the removal of the overturned minibus. The road was eventually reopened once the vehicle was cleared from the accident site.
