Fatal Accident: Shuttle Bus Overturned in Antalya, Leaving 1 Dead and 7 Injured
A tragic accident occurred in Antalya, Turkey, early in the morning on Gazi Boulevard. The incident took place around 06.30 when a hotel shuttle bus, driven by Uğur Efe, overturned and crossed into the opposite lane after the driver lost control of the steering wheel at the bridge intersection.
The impact of the bus overturning caused pieces to break off and hit a vehicle traveling in the opposite lane, resulting in Uğur Efe and 7 others getting injured. Witnesses immediately reported the accident to the 112 Emergency Call Center, prompting a quick response from police, fire brigade, and medical teams.
The teams arrived at the scene promptly, extracted the injured individuals from the bus, and transported them to the hospital for treatment. Despite medical interventions, driver Uğur Efe succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the hospital.
Following the tragic incident, the overturned midibus was towed away from the scene as investigative teams started looking into the details of the accident. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families during this difficult time.
