According to reports from the Police Press Officer, Havva Ulusular, a 40-year-old driver, neglected to obey the stop and give way sign at the İnönü controlled road junction and carelessly entered the main road without giving right of way to oncoming traffic. This action led to a collision with a vehicle driven by Kemal Süleymanoğulları, who was traveling on the Famagusta-Nicosia main road at the time.

As a result of the accident, 54-year-old Melek Süleymanoğulları, 93-year-old Melek Süleymanoğulları, and Havva Ulusular sustained injuries and were promptly taken to Famagusta State Hospital for medical attention. Unfortunately, despite efforts to save her, 93-year-old Melek Süleymanoğulları succumbed to her injuries and passed away at 22:30. The severity of the incident prompted authorities to arrest Havva Ulusular following her discharge from the hospital.
