Fatal car crash in Bolu: Driver dies after hitting truck from behind
A Fatal Accident on D-100 Highway Claims One Life
An accident that occurred on D-100 Highway in the organized industrial zone of Bolu in Turkey has left one person dead. The incident took place at approximately 04.30 in the morning when a car with the license plate 06 DIN 241, driven by Samet Toprak, collided with a TIR, which was moving in the same direction. The truck was being driven by Mehmet Tanış, and its license plate number was 63 AAN 317.
The impact of the collision destroyed the car. Health, police, and fire teams were dispatched to the site immediately after the incident was reported. Unfortunately, the car driver, Samet Toprak, died on the spot. The truck driver, Mehmet Tanış, was not injured in the accident and was taken to the police station to record his statement.
The body of Samet Toprak was sent to the Köroğlu State Hospital morgue for further examination. The D-100 Highway was closed for nearly two hours due to the accident and traffic was controlled during this time. However, once the vehicles involved in the accident were removed from the road, traffic resumed as normal.
The authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the cause of the accident. Such accidents are a stark reminder to always drive carefully and stay aware of other drivers on the road.
