Fatal Car Crash on Anatolian Highway: 1 Dead, 2 Injured
A fatal car accident occurred at the Gültepe Recreation Facilities location on the Izmit crossing of the highway, in the Istanbul direction. A car with a foreign license plate, managed by OU, crashed into a truck managed by MA.
Emergency services such as police, health, and fire brigade teams quickly responded to the scene upon receiving the notification. Unfortunately, the passenger in the vehicle, identified as Serdar Küçük, lost his life in the accident.
The car driver and another individual, S.Ç., were rescued by the fire brigade and taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. S.C. is said to be in serious condition following the incident.
After the vehicles involved in the accident were removed, the controlled transportation in the Istanbul direction of the highway returned to normal. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
