Car Accident Claims Life of Driver in Nicosia
A tragic car accident occurred on the Nicosia Northern Ring Road in the early hours of the morning, resulting in the loss of a life. According to the Police Press Officer’s Office, the incident took place around 01.30 when Çelik ALTINER, a resident of Dikmen, was driving his vehicle with plate number LK 659 towards the west.
Reports indicate that ALTINER was driving at a high speed and in a careless manner when he reached the industrial circle on the road. Unfortunately, he lost control of the steering wheel, veered off the road, and collided with the median curb stones. The impact caused him to hit a traffic sign in the median before crashing into a concrete wall uncontrollably.
Tragically, Çelik ALTINER succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. The police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash as they work to determine the cause of the tragic incident.
