Fatal collision between IETT bus and minibus in Sarıyer
A serious accident occurred late at night on Demirciköy Street in Kumköy Neighborhood, involving an İETT bus and a minibus. The incident took place around 23:00, when the two vehicles collided for reasons yet to be determined.
Reports suggest that the collision resulted in a passenger being ejected through the front window of the minibus, while the driver was trapped inside the vehicle, sustaining injuries from the impact. Upon receiving notification of the accident, gendarmerie, fire department, and medical teams rushed to the scene to provide assistance.
The injured passenger received initial treatment from medical teams before being transported to the hospital by ambulance. Meanwhile, the trapped minibus driver was rescued by the efforts of the fire department teams. It was reported that during the rescue operation, the driver managed to make a phone call to his relatives using his mobile phone.
After a prolonged and challenging rescue process, the driver was successfully extracted from the vehicle and handed over to medical personnel. Following on-site first aid, the injured driver was also taken to the hospital for further treatment.
