Four Dead, Seven Injured in Crash in Bulgaria

A tragic accident in Northwestern Bulgaria has left four people dead and seven others injured. The incident involved a van and a cargo truck near Vidin, according to the Interior Ministry.

The crash took place around 9 pm at a traffic-sign-controlled intersection. Initial reports suggest that the van failed to yield to the truck, resulting in the collision. Upon receiving the emergency call, teams from the Interior Ministry, ambulance services, and the fire brigade immediately responded to the scene.

At the scene, the 48-year-old van driver and two male passengers were pronounced dead. Seven other individuals were rushed to the hospital, with one more succumbing to their injuries later on. Two of the injured are currently in serious condition.

The 55-year-old truck driver was also taken to the hospital in Vidin with fractures, but his injuries are not life-threatening.
