Fatal Collision in Çanakkale: Truck and Motorcycle Crash Leaves 2 Dead
Two people were killed in a tragic accident near Sarıbeyli village of the city center. The incident occurred around 18:00 when a truck collided with a motorcycle. The truck, with license plate 43 EV 093, driven by Tahir K., struck the motorcycle whose driver and license plate are unknown.
Upon receiving notice of the accident from drivers in the area, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, it was determined that the motorcycle driver, Hasan Eker, and passenger Hasan Emir Tabaklıoğlu had both died. The bodies were taken to the morgue of Mehmet Akif Ersoy Çanakkale State Hospital, while the truck driver, Tahir K, was taken into custody.
Sadly, Hasan Eker, the motorcycle driver who lost his life in the accident, was revealed to be the son of Kayadere Village Headman Mustafa Eker. The Gendarmerie has launched an investigation into the accident to determine the cause of the collision.
