Fatal collision in Muş: Three dead, five injured
A tragic accident occurred at the junction of the town of Altınova, at the 40th kilometer of the Muş-Bitlis highway, involving two cars driven by Ali Rıza Akpolat and Şemdin Tulgar. The collision resulted in injuries to several individuals, including Ali Rıza, Feride Ebrar, Yağmur, and Mehmet Hüseyin Akpolat, as well as Şemdin, Samet, and Selcan Tulgar, and an unidentified baby.
Emergency response teams, including the gendarmerie, fire brigade, and 112 Emergency Health services, quickly arrived at the scene to provide assistance. The injured were promptly transferred to hospitals in Muş, Bitlis, and Güroymak for medical treatment, with the hopes of a full recovery for those affected.
Tragically, Şemdin, Samet, and Selcan Tulgar succumbed to their injuries, while efforts to save the other injured individuals are ongoing. Security measures were implemented by the gendarmerie to manage the flow of traffic and ensure the safety of those in the area.
The damaged vehicles were cleared from the road with the assistance of a tow truck, allowing for the safe passage of vehicles through the junction. Our thoughts are with the victims of this devastating accident, and we hope for the swift recovery of those who were injured.
