Fatal Collision: Minibus Crashes into Stopped Truck, 1 Dead and 3 Injured
Tragic Accident on Antalya-Alanya Highway: 1 Dead, 3 Injured
A devastating accident occurred on the Antalya-Alanya D-400 Highway that has left one person dead and three others injured. The incident took place when a tour minibus collided with a truck that had stopped on the road.
The tour minibus, with the registration number 07 BIV 049 and driven by Gökhan Bircan, crashed into the back of the truck with the registration number 07 LSH 20, driven by Mehmet Savaş. The truck had stopped on the right side of the road to close the rear awning cover that had opened on the Sorgun Bus Station Bridge junction.
In an attempt to avoid hitting the truck, the minibus driver swerved and ended up hitting the right rear parts of an intercity bus, with the registration number 34 SPT 09, and the right front part of another tour bus, with the registration number 07 AFK 420.
Tragically, one of the passengers in the tour guide, Dilek Duran, lost her life in the accident. The driver of the pickup truck, Mehmet Savaş, and two passengers, Syrian nationals Abdullah İsa and Muhammed İsa, were also injured in the collision. They were promptly attended to by health teams on the scene and then taken to hospitals in Manavgat for further treatment.
Despite all efforts to save her, Dilek Duran could not be revived and sadly passed away at the Manavgat State Hospital. The other injured individuals are currently receiving medical care as authorities investigate the cause of the accident.
