Fatal Crash: Car Collides with Truck on Icy Road in Düzce
A tragic accident occurred in the Kabalak area of the Düzce-Zonguldak D-655 Highway, resulting in the loss of a young man’s life. The incident took place when Hasan Kayıkçı (27), driving a Volkswagen car from Akçakoca to Düzce, lost control of the vehicle on the slippery road due to heavy rain. The car collided with the rear of a parked TIR, leading to Hasan being trapped inside.
Rescue teams from the Düzce Municipality Fire Department worked tirelessly to free Hasan from the wreckage and rushed him to the hospital. Despite the medical interventions, Hasan tragically succumbed to his injuries. Following the removal of the vehicles from the scene, the road was reopened to traffic.
The gendarmerie has initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine the exact cause. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and loved ones of Hasan Kayıkçı during this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
