Fatal Fire in Düsseldorf, Germany: 3 Dead, 16 Injured
Another tragedy struck Germany as a fire broke out in Düsseldorf claiming three lives and injuring 16 others. The incident took place in a building in the city, quickly engulfing the 6-storey structure after an explosion in the ground floor buffet.
The identities of the deceased individuals have not been disclosed, but it was reported that most of the residents in the building were immigrants, including three Turkish families. Turkey’s Consul General in Düsseldorf, Ali İhsan İzbul, visited one of the Turkish citizens affected by the fire to express his well wishes for a speedy recovery.
Firefighters from the Düsseldorf Fire Department bravely intervened in the blaze, rescuing the injured and other citizens by accessing the building through the balconies at the back. Unfortunately, the building in the Flingern area has been deemed unusable following the fire.
As investigations into the cause of the fire are underway, the Police have launched a formal inquiry to determine the circumstances that led to the tragic incident. This comes in the wake of a similar fire in Solingen earlier in March, where four members of a Turkish family lost their lives and nine others were injured in an arson house.
The community mourns the loss of lives in these devastating fires, and efforts are being made to support the affected families during this difficult time.
