Fatal House Fire in Bayburt Leaves One Dead and One Injured
A Tragic Fire Incident Claims One Life in Bayburt
A devastating fire broke out at night in a 2-storey house located in Alapelit village of the city center, belonging to Selmani and Emine Akkuş. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
Upon receiving the alert from concerned citizens who spotted the flames, emergency response teams including the fire brigade, 112 Emergency Health, gendarmerie, and AFAD were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Despite the efforts of the teams to suppress the flames, Emine Akkuş tragically lost her life due to smoke inhalation. Selmani Akkuş, who managed to escape the burning house, suffered from smoke inhalation and was quickly transported to Bayburt State Hospital for treatment.
