Fatal Shooting at al-Awda Hospital: Woman Targeted by Israeli Snipers

Israeli Army Targets Women at Gaza Hospital under Siege
The ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip took a devastating turn as the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that the Israeli army targeted a woman working at Al-Awde Hospital, which has been under siege for several days. The Palestinian woman was shot and lost her life in the attack.
According to the Ministry of Health, the hospital, which has been under siege, has limited access to water, food, and medicine. The statement also highlighted that those inside the hospital have been subjected to detention and torture.
Ashraf al-Qudra, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, stated that approximately 240 people, including 80 medical personnel, have been detained by the Israeli forces, who have turned the hospital into a military barracks.
The conflict escalated on October 7, when Hamas’s armed wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, launched an attack on Israel in response to continuous violations against Palestinians and sacred values, particularly the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The attacks resulted in significant casualties on both sides, with thousands of Palestinians killed and injured, along with Israeli casualties as well.
The conflict has also extended to the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, where 304 Palestinians lost their lives in attacks by Israeli forces and illegal Jewish invaders.
The ongoing clashes between the Israeli army and Hezbollah at the border have also resulted in casualties on both sides, with Lebanese civilians and Hezbollah members among the dead.
As a result of the conflict, 1.9 million Palestinians in Gaza are displaced and struggling to survive without adequate shelter, food, clean water, medicine, and health services.
The situation remains dire as the conflict continues to take a heavy toll on the people of Gaza, with repeated attacks on civilian infrastructure and reports of widespread suffering among the population.
