Tragedy Strikes: 3 Dead and Multiple Injured as Tour Bus Overturns in Bursa
A tour bus carrying students from Ankara Etimesgut Cenk Near Secondary School on their way back from a trip to Çanakkale met with a tragic accident in the Şehitler Mahallesi area of the İnegöl district in Bursa. As the driver lost control of the steering wheel, the bus crashed into the barrier and fell on its side, resulting in the death of 3 people and multiple injuries.
Upon receiving notice, the police, firefighters, and medical teams immediately rushed to the scene to ensure road safety and provide medical assistance. According to initial investigations, there were 37 students, 3 teachers, and 6 teacher children on the bus, and many suffered injuries that required hospitalization.
Bursa Governor Yakup Canbolat expressed his deep sorrow over the tragic incident and stated that investigations were underway to determine the cause of the accident. “As a result of the tour bus carrying the students crashing into the barrier and overturning, 3 people lost their lives. The injured are taken to hospitals. I’m going to the area to investigate the accident site,” he said.
