Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya Provides Update on Traffic Accidents During Ramadan Feast Holiday

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has shared the latest information regarding traffic accidents during the Ramadan Feast holiday. On the 6th day of the holiday, a total of 599,476 vehicles were inspected. Out of these, 22,892 vehicles were subjected to speed and radar processes, while 41,922 vehicles went through other procedures.

Tragically, yesterday saw 10 individuals lose their lives in a traffic accident, with 790 others sustaining injuries. Since Saturday, a total of 57 people have lost their lives in traffic accidents, while 6,533 individuals have been injured.

Minister Yerlikaya took to his social media account to urge caution on the roads, stating, “Our inspections are ongoing without interruption. Our personnel are working tirelessly to prevent accidents day by day. As we celebrate the holiday with our loved ones, let us remember to be mindful in traffic to ensure these joyous days are not marred by tragedy.”
