Father Detained for Sexually Abusing 16-Year-Old Daughter: Expresses Remorse
A shocking case has come to light in Kula district, where a 3rd-grade high school student, referred to as DK, fell ill at school on June 4. It was reported that DK confided in his guidance counselor, revealing that his father, BK, had been sexually abusing him. The counselor immediately reported the situation to the police, leading to an investigation into the matter.
DK provided a statement at the Child Monitoring Center (ÇİM), detailing the harrowing ordeal of being sexually abused by his father for more than 2 years. In response, the police launched an operation to apprehend BK, who was located in the Turgutlu district. BK was successfully captured by the Turgutlu Gendarmerie Command teams the previous evening and was brought to Kula Police Department for further proceedings.
During his transfer, BK made a perplexing statement to members of the press, asking if they regretted the situation. When questioned further, BK responded by stating, “I regret it.” The legal process concerning BK’s actions is currently ongoing, as the investigation into the case continues to unfold.
