Father Recreates Tragic Loss as Son Suffers Same Fate 7 Years Later
A tragic incident occurred on March 23 in the Yeni Neighborhood District İsmet Pasha Street in Altınordu district. The incident involved a motorcycle driver, Enes A. (24), who was allegedly chasing street dogs, causing chaos on the street. As Enes A. was in pursuit, his motorcycle collided with Ercan Uzunlar, who was running on the street.
Ercan Uzunlar sustained serious injuries in the accident and was immediately attended to by medical teams at the scene. He was then rushed to Ordu University Training and Research Hospital for further treatment.
Enes A. was detained following the incident and subsequently taken to court. After police operations, he was released by the judiciary under judicial control. The moment of the accident was captured by a security camera at a nearby workplace.
Tragically, Ercan Uzunlar succumbed to his injuries after 8 days of battling for his life in the hospital. It was later revealed that Ercan Uzunlar’s son, Metehan Uzunlar, had also lost his life in a traffic accident on the second day of the 2018 Eid al-Adha festival.
This heartbreaking series of events has left the community in mourning as they grapple with the loss of two lives due to tragic circumstances. Investigations into the incident are ongoing as authorities work to determine the full extent of the situation.
