A tragic incident occurred in the village of Akkise in Kargı district on Wednesday evening, March 12. Eşref Winter, an 82-year-old man, had gone to the village mosque for Tarawih prayer. Upon returning home after the prayer, he noticed smoke coming from his house. Eşref bravely entered the burning house in an attempt to extinguish the flames and save his wife. Concerned neighbors quickly contacted the 112 Emergency Call Center for help.
