Minister Tekin Participates in Cultural Heritage Project Final Program
Minister Tekin recently attended the “Final Program of the Project in the Final Program of the Cultural Heritage” held at the Emin Saraç Cultural Center in Başakşehir. The event was organized by the Ministry of National Education, Hayrat Foundation, and Young Hayrat.
During his speech at the event, Tekin paid tribute to the late former Prime Minister Dr. Necmeddin Erbakan, who the school under the roof of Emin Saraç is named after, and who made significant contributions to the Muslim community in the country. Tekin also highlighted the importance of the event in relation to the anniversary of the February 28 coup.
The February 28, 1997, coup had a significant impact on national education, with decisions to close certain schools and implement compulsory education. Tekin emphasized the importance of maintaining Imam Hatip schools, despite the challenges faced during that time.
Tekin expressed his commitment to preserving the values of civilization and educating the youth to be proud of their ancestors. He also acknowledged the criticism surrounding certain educational policies but affirmed his dedication to continue working towards the betterment of education in Turkey.
The event also saw Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Enes Eminoğlu discussing the continuation of Ottoman education in youth centers and the importance of honoring the country’s history.
At the end of the program, Minister Tekin and other officials presented awards to students who excelled in a competition involving approximately 10 thousand students from schools across Turkey. The event was attended by various dignitaries, educators, and students.
Overall, the event highlighted the importance of preserving cultural heritage, honoring the past, and shaping a bright future for the youth of Turkey. It also showcased the government’s dedication to providing quality education and opportunities for students across the country.
