FETO Director Zekeriya Cerit Arrested

The joint efforts of the Intelligence Directorate of the General Directorate of Security, the Anti-Terrorism Branch of the Ankara Security Directorate, and the Intelligence Branch Directorate have resulted in the successful apprehension of a fugitive suspect affiliated with the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETO).
Zekeriya Cerit, a gray-category fugitive wanted for his involvement in the organization’s foreign network in Turkmenistan, was captured on June 17 during a coordinated operation conducted by the aforementioned teams.
Following his arrest, Zekeriya Cerit appeared in court today, where he faced charges related to his alleged participation in laundering money for the terrorist organization through various associations. Additionally, he stands accused of organizing and promoting the structures of the terrorist group abroad, as well as serving as a director within the organization.
The combined efforts of the intelligence teams involved in this operation demonstrate the unwavering commitment of Turkey’s security forces in their fight against terrorism.
