“Military Plane Brings Martyr Alican Güneş’s Body Home for Farewell Ceremony”
The body of martyr Infantry Contractor Alican Güneş was recently transported to Kahramanmaraş by a military plane. Upon arrival, the body was first taken to his father’s home in the Pirireis District, where prayers and forgiveness were received. Subsequently, the procession made its way to the Abdulhamid Han Mosque.
The farewell ceremony was attended by various dignitaries, including Kahramanmaraş Governor Mükerrem Ünlüer, Deputy Minister of Family and Social Policies Ahmet Aydın, Garrison Commander Brigadier General Emin Mehmet Terzioğlu, Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Hayrettin Güngör, along with military and civil officials, as well as citizens.
During the ceremony, the soldiers carried the martyr’s coffin, wrapped in the Turkish flag, while Ali Güneş, the father of Alican Güneş, prayed and looked at his late son’s photo. Once the coffin was placed on the musalla stone, Alican Güneş’s body was transferred to a funeral transport vehicle. The procession then proceeded to the martyrdom in Şeyh Adil Cemetery, where the body was buried amidst tears of grief.
The farewell ceremony served as a solemn tribute to honor the sacrifice made by Alican Güneş in the line of duty. The event brought together both official figures and ordinary citizens, highlighting the collective gratitude and respect for the martyr’s service to the nation.
The memory of Infantry Contractor Alican Güneş will forever be cherished, and his dedication to his country will never be forgotten.
