Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat Emphasizes Importance of Bilateral Trade with TRNC
During a recent meeting with the Minister of Finance Özdemir Berova, Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat highlighted the importance of increasing bilateral trade volume with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and expanding cooperation in various fields.
Bolat expressed Turkey’s unwavering support for the Turkish Cypriots and emphasized the significance of modernizing customs, strengthening technological infrastructure, conducting product safety inspections in laboratories, and establishing cold storage facilities.
He also mentioned that technical teams are currently working on modernizing customs automation systems and enhancing product safety measures, including the delivery of X-ray devices to Famagusta Port.
Through collaboration and joint efforts, Bolat aims to foster stronger ties between Turkey and the TRNC, ultimately benefiting both economies and promoting growth in the region.
