Fire at Düzce Garbage Dump Contained Before Spreading to Fields
Fire Breaks Out in Garbage Disposal Area, Damaging Cultivated Land
A fire erupted in the garbage disposal area behind the Small Industrial Site in Akınlar District of the city center for reasons unknown. The flames quickly grew in size due to the influence of the wind, spreading to the surrounding wheat and corn fields.
Upon receiving notice, fire crews were dispatched to the scene and managed to bring the fire under control after approximately 6 hours of intervention. Sadly, the fire caused damage to around 50 decares of cultivated land in the area.
Efforts are still ongoing in the aftermath of the fire, with authorities working to assess the extent of the damage and provide support to those affected. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of fire safety measures and the need for vigilance in preventing such disasters from occurring in the future.
