Fire in Bagliköy extinguished, cooling efforts ongoing – BRTK
A fire that occurred in the southern part of Bağlıköy has been extinguished. The incident, which started at noon and required aerial intervention, has now been brought under control.
According to the Police Press Officer, approximately 50 decare of dry grass, maquis, and trees were affected by the fire. The Civil Defense Organization, in collaboration with other relevant institutions, took immediate action to control the blaze in the Bagliköy region earlier today.
The Civil Defense teams deployed 16 personnel, 1 water tanker, 2 fire first response vehicles, 1 personnel vehicle, and 4 command vehicles to combat the rapidly spreading fire. Efforts are now underway to cool down the area and prevent any further damage.
Local authorities are reminding residents to exercise caution during this time of increased fire risk due to dry weather conditions. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
